# Our Heroes

The (perhaps questionable and morally ambiguous) heroes of the 7 Seas.

## [Kestutis "Kestas" Kleiza](characters/kestas-kleiza)

![Kestas|card|left|small](kestas.jpg)

Kestas is not a short man, but neither is he particularly tall being just a dash over average height. He has the stocky build of someone used to labor, and big meals. Sad brown eyes and rounded features common of sons of Curonia give him a friendly face, if not a handsome one. His muddy brown hair is mid length and wavy, and his beard and moustache are full, but groomed neatly enough to not be overbearing in the Jaraguan heat.

He almost always dresses plainly, wearing loose linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and sensible brown trousers and boots. If he's working he'll be wearing a heavy leather smock with tools stuffed in pockets, and loops. Otherwise, he wears a sash around his waist bearing the same red and black of the young Jaraguan flag. Tucked into the sash are a brace mid-caliber pistols, and a weapon that appears to be the blade of a Mawon machette and the hilt of a Sarmatian szabla. One has to be ready to do Hero shit at any moment after all.

## [Theophania "Thea"](characters/theophania)

![Thea|card|left|small](thea.jpg)

Barely five feet tall, Thea has long, wavy hair. Typically tied up in a ponytail, she tries to keep it behind her, yet it tends to slip forward when she is not paying attention. Her hazel eyes are one of the most expressive parts of her body, and her glasses tend to magnify them, showing her emotions clearly for those who care to look. Her lips are relatively small and thin, with small marks on them from where she chews her lips on occasion. Her shoulders, when uncovered, bear a tattoo on each side: Left has a caduceus, and right bears a quill, the symbols of her patrons.

Moving down from her shoulders, her arms are slender, and yet bear small marks from various injuries that have long since healed. Her hands are lightly stained with ink, typically the pinky fingers on each hand. Her nails are trimmed, kept short to avoid catching on anything while performing surgery or writing. Her chest is nothing remarkable, but anyone with a trained eye can also see the telltale signs of binding beneath her robes. The robes themselves seem to have more in common with the Crescent Empire than anywhere else, and have either a blood-red color if she is acting in her capacity as a doctor, or slate-grey, if she is acting in her capacity as a scholar. Typically, they are slate-grey. She seems to be of a healthy weight, not overly thin at all.

## [Cyprien de Vauclaire](characters/cyprien-de-vauclaire)

![Cyprien|card|left|small](cyprien.png)

A lean young Montaigne nobleman in his mid-twenties, sharp-featured, with brown hair grown slightly past fashionable. Neatly trimmed beard. Porté blood-scars visible from knuckles to mid-forearm on both hands, uncovered. Dressed in Montaigne tailoring cut from local fabrics: structured shoulders, warm ochres and deep greens, one impractical brocade coat worn open in the heat. Smells faintly of good cologne losing a war with the tropics.

## [Asfrith](characters/asfrith)

![Asfrith|card|left|small](asfrith.png)

A huge woman in all directions, Asfrith commands a room, simply by filling it. Standing almost seven feet tall, her limbs are thick with muscle earned by years of work and combat, softened by an honest love of food and drink. Nothing about the woman says subtle. Hair the color of a storm warning sky sports braids of varying size, with stone beads woven throughout. Her eyes are the color of a summer sky reflecting in the deep ocean, full of mirth, life, and delight. The corners of her eyes crinkle often with laughter that sounds of the drums of war. Thick dark blue tattoos swirl up her arms and legs in precise patterns, with the runes of the skalds hidden within the markings. It's hard to imagine the giantess in a bad mood with her guileless expressions and quick smiles, but imagining her wearing violence like a second skin easily ignites the imagination, no matter how carefully she moves and tries to put people at ease.
