# Vail Overview

Vail, Colorado serves as both our territory and our challenge. A ski resort town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, it masks deeper conflicts between Gaia's defenders and the Wyrm's corruption.

## Geography

The territory spans three main areas:

1. **Vail Village** - The human settlement, tourist destination
2. **The Backcountry** - Wild lands, our hunting grounds
3. **Eagle County Mines** - Abandoned... or so they claim

## Key Locations

### The Ski Resort

By day, a playground for wealthy humans. By night, a mask for darker dealings. The development companies push ever deeper into pristine wilderness.

### Eagle River

The lifeblood of the valley. Spirits of water and stone dwell here. The Uktena have ancient claims to these waters.

### Old Mine Shafts

Sealed for decades after "accidents." The spirits refuse to speak of what happened there. Some doors should stay closed.

## Threats

The Wyrm's influence creeps through:

- Corporate expansion destroying wilderness
- Toxic runoff from old mining operations
- Strange disappearances in the backcountry
- Rumors of a new Pentex front company

## Allies

Not all is lost. We have friends:

- The local Kinfolk families
- A sympathetic Forest Service ranger
- An Uktena pack to the west
