The Spiral Carvings

Hunters from the nearby mountain town whisper about deer found butchered in the forest, their bodies arranged along old game trails leading toward the caern. The cuts are too precise for any natural predator, and every carcass is missing its tongue. Inside each ribcage, someone has carved the same spiral symbol over and over — a mark some Theurges believe may be an attempt to call something out of the mountains.
