Wiki Markdown Features

The wiki uses standard Markdown (GitHub Flavored) plus several custom extensions.

Standard Markdown

All standard GFM features work:

Bold, italic, ~~strikethrough~~
Links, images, code blocks
Tables, task lists (- [ ] and - [x])
Headings automatically get anchor IDs for linking

Color Tags

Add color to any text using {color}text{/color} syntax.

Available colors (16):

red · green · blue · yellow · orange · purple · cyan · magenta · pink · brown · gold · silver · teal · lime · grey · white

Usage:

ShatteredRose enters the caern.
The Wyrm taint is strong here.

Image Sizing

Control image display size using the |size syntax in the alt text.

Size presets:

Preset	Approximate Width
`thumb`	Small thumbnail
`small`	~25% width
`medium`	~50% width
`large`	~75% width
`full`	100% width

Custom pixel size: Use a number (1-2000):

Image Positioning

Add a position after the size to float images:

Positions: left (float left), right (float right), center (centered block).

Card Layouts

Create a two-column layout with an image and text side by side:

The --- at the end closes the card. The image appears on the specified side (left or right) with the text beside it.

Access Control

Restrict a page to specific roles by adding a directive as the first line:

@@admin
# Secret ST Page

This page is only visible to users with the admin role.

Multiple roles can be specified:

@@admin,gm

Pages without a directive are visible to everyone.

The navigation menu is a Markdown file at _templates/navigation.md. Structure:

Rules:

Top-level items are main nav links
Indented items become dropdown menus under the parent
@@admin before a link or section heading hides it from non-admin users
Edit through the admin navigation editor on the wiki
